WP 4: Development driver astronomy



WP 4 sets itself the task of ensuring connectivity to data streams and repositories relevant for astrophysical research. For this purpose, the Cluster will establish an astronomical data center and develop appropriate methods for data transport, access and analysis. Furthermore, we will ensure a close exchange of the relevant expert groups to drive the optimization of data management as well as the related software development and the necessary user support and training.

To achieve the goals set in this WP, we provide both astronomical observational data and simulation data on an ongoing basis. Astrophysical data and analysis methods are generally public and free of economic or ethical caveats. This enables an optimal transfer of the developments planned here into commercially relevant research in AI and Big Data.
